Hogan Plumbing Inc. was established in 1961 by Don Hogan working out of a relative’s garage in Wheaton, IL. Since then the company has grown into a fleet of over 30 trucks operating out of a 15,000 square feet facility in Warrenville. The company remains family owned and operated and has established a hard earned reputation for getting the job done.
1972 marked the year Dennis Hogan, current company president, began his apprenticeship at Hogan Plumbing Inc., although he began his unofficial company career several years earlier accompanying father Don to job sites as a small boy. The 1970’s were marked by steady growth in the business, as father and son put in long hours on the job together, establishing a reputation for quality and dedication that is evident at Hogan Plumbing Inc. to this day.
The 1980’s were a decade of explosive growth in commercial and new residential building in DuPage County and Hogan Plumbing Inc.’s hard earned reputation placed the company in a position to expand the company to keep pace with this boom. The company relocated to larger offices in Warrenville in 1987 to accommodate this tremendous expansion in business. During this decade the company consistently added to the workforce, finishing this ten-year period with over 25 plumbers on the job.
The 1980’s also marked the official passing of the Hogan torch from father to son. Dennis took over as president of the family business in 1984 upon the retirement of his father, and in 1986 he completed the transition, purchasing the company outright.
The decade of the 1990’s brought continued prosperity to Hogan Plumbing Inc., as the company hit stride as a major force in commercial and new residential building in Northern Illinois. The company relocated to its current modern facility in Warrenville in 1997.
Hogan Plumbing Inc. today has very little “physical” resemblance to the Hogan Plumbing Inc. of 1961. The 50 years of sustained growth has obviously brought many changes to our company, changes that we are rightfully very proud of. However, the driving spirit of doing the job right and on time, of earning a day’s pay, and of delivery on commitment, qualities often lacking in the modern way of business, that spirit lives on. We look forward into the next decade and beyond with great anticipation to the continued growth of our company.
